TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The traffic condition in the capital city today on D-2 of 2018 Eid al-Fitr was seen quite due to the residents had left to their hometown. Several roads that commonly congested remained vacant.

“At 07:00 am, the traffic light at Slipi was normal,” as quoted from the official Twitter account of Jakarta Police Traffic @TMCPoldaMetro today.

Several main roads including Jl. Rasuna Said, Gatot Subroto, and Jenderal Sudirman were seen as empty. The motorcycle could speed up to 60 kilometers per hour.

Aside from the traffic condition, public transportation was also vacant such as at Commuter Line Jakarta-Kota and Transjakarta Bus. On regular days, both public transportation were crowded by passengers during office hour.

However, several roads in Jakarta still experienced congestion such as on Jl. Kramat Jati, precisely before shopping market Robinson.

The congestion was due to many vehicles parked on the side road. “East Jakarta Traffic Police strived to manage the illegal parking in front of Robinson, Kramat Jati to ease the vehicle density,” @TMCPoldaMetro tweeted today, on D-2 of 2018 Eid al-Fitr.
