Surabaya Bombing Aftermath; West Java on High Alert

    TEMPO.CO, Bandung - The West Java Police have declared high alert for the entire province following the series of bomb attacks in Surabaya on Sunday and Monday.

    "This is to anticipate over what happened in East Java," West Java Police spokesman Adj. Sr. Comr. Trunoyudho Wisnu Andiko said on Monday, May 14.

    The West Java Police decided to increase awareness and security, "both internally and externally," Trunoyudho said.

    The police instructed its ranks to be more vigilant in patrolling. "The patrols are conducted on a large scale, with the police joining forces with the TNI," he said.

    Trunoyudho also appealed to the public to stay alert whilst remaining calm.
