TEMPO.CO, Depok - The riot in the Police`s Mobile Brigade headquarters or Mako Brimob Kelapa Dua, Depok, that killed five police officers and injured four officers, has ended this morning.
"There is no negotiation, this is a countermeasure," said Police Deputy Chief Comr. Gen. Syafruddin today, May 10. "Thank God, the operation ends at 07:15."
Syafruddin stated the police are currently doing the countermeasures against the terrorist inmates in the detention center.

During the sterilization and countermeasures operation, three explosions along with gunshot sound were heard. "(The explosion) was part of the sterilization process."
Police Deputy Chief Syafruddin led the hostage release and the countermeasure operation. He explained the prison riot was broke out by 156 prisoners.
In the operation, the police found long barreled weapons that were taken by the inmates."The [weapon's] shooting range could reach the road. That’s very unsafe," said Syafruddin, adding that five officers passed away and four others were hospitalized.
A total of six people were killed in Mako Brimob riot, one of them is a terrorist prisoner who attacked and seized the police’s weapons. The prison riot occurred since Tuesday night, May 8, at around 20:20 local times.
