Alumni 212 Consider Jokowi Listens to Advice About Rizieq Shihab

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Leader of Team 11 Alumni 212 Misbahul Anam appreciates President Joko Widodo or Jokowi who has listened to the advice to stop the criminalization against the ulema.

"Of course we are grateful because the president would listen to our advice," Misbahul said on Saturday, May 5.

Misbahul said in a meeting of Team 11 Alumni 212 with President Jokowi some time ago at the Palace, his party asked Jokowi to stop the criminalization against the ulema.

But Misbahul denied any political agreement with Jokowi about the SP3 (Third Warning Letter) issued by the police towards the insult to the state symbol of Pancasila by the high priest of the Islamic Defenders Front (FPI) Rizieq Shihab.

"There is no talk on political deals or support," he said.

Misbahul did not want to fully relate the results of the meeting with Rizieq's SP3 case. According to him, it is the result of a meeting of Rizieq's advocacy team with the Police long time ago. According to Misbahul, it is appropriate for the police to issue SP3 on the case because the allegations are not true.

Previously West Java Regional Police officially issued SP3 against the alleged case of insulting Pancasila and defamation allegedly done by Rizieq Shihab.

"The case has been terminated by the investigation team at the end of February," said Head of Public Relations West Java Police Adjunct Commissioner Trunoyudho Wisnu Andiko.

The reason, he said, because based on the results of the investigation, the case that was alleged to Rizieq Shihab has no enough evidence.
