BMKG: Part of Jakarta on Earth Day Sees Rain and Lightning

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The Meteorology, Climatology, and Geophysics Agency (BMKG) makes today's Earth Day forecast, that some areas of Jakarta today will be showered with rain and lightning.

"Beware for the potential of rain accompanied by lightning and strong winds with a short duration in South Jakarta, East Jakarta and West Jakarta between daytime and afternoon," BMKG wrote on its official website on Sunday, April 22.

Some areas that are predicted to rain in the afternoon are East Jakarta and South Jakarta. While other areas, such as North Jakarta, West Jakarta, Central Jakarta, and Seribu Islands are predicted to be bright and cloudy.

At dusk, the weather condition throughout Jakarta is predicted to rain evenly. Simultaneous rain condition throughout Jakarta is predicted to ease at dawn.

BMKG also note the air temperature in Jakarta today is in the range of 24 to 32 degrees Celsius. While the air humidity ranges from 60 to 95 percent.
