Nurse: Bump in Setya Novanto`s Forehead Smaller than Steamed Bun  

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - A nurse of Medika Permata Hijau Hospital, Indri Astuti, said the bump on Setya Novanto’s left forehead was not as big as a steamed bun, but it was only as the size of the adult fingernail.

"At that time, I saw there were only two bumps as big as my nails that elongated on the left forehead,” said Indri who stood as a witness in Corruption Court, Thursday 5 April.

Indri was presented as a witness to the defendant Fredrich Yunadi, a lawyer of Setya Novanto. Fredrich was convicted of blocking the investigation process by the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) against Setya.

Fredrich denied Setya Novanto's wound as big as a nail. To support his argument, he showed Setya's photo when he arrived at the KPK building on November 19, 2017. “Look at the left side of his forehead, this swelling is still very big,” he said.

Fredrich said the bump on Setya's forehead was supposed to be bigger on the day the accident occurred. “So if he was treated, the lump should get smaller, not bigger. It means on the 16 November it was bigger," said Fredrich.

Indri said Fredrich’s evidence is irrelevant. She said she could only explain Setya’s condition on November 16, 2017. She explained that the injury in Setya Novanto's body was only a scratch on the left forehead and on the right arm.

Hearing the testimony, Fredrich then asked the judge to examine Indri with a lie detector tool. He even asked the witness to do a ghost oath (swear to death).
