TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The first trial of musician Ahmad Dhani in the case of hate speech allegations will be held on April 16, next week. The trial will be held at the South Jakarta District Court.
The South Jakarta District Court' PR officer Achmad Guntur confirmed the news on Wednesday, April 4.

"The indictment hearing will be on the agenda of the initial trial," said Guntur, who added that the judges who will lead the trial are Ratmoho, Sudjarwanto, and Totok Sapto Indrato.
Ahmad Dhani is being charged with violating several articles in Law No.19/2016 on Electronics and Information Transactions. The musician was reported to the police by Jack Lapian on March 9 last year.

Jack submitted evidence in the form of Ahmad Dhani's tweets, which he believed is a hate speech against former Jakarta Governor Basuki Tjahaja, around the time of the gubernatorial elections in 2017.
