TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Three roads in Yogyakarta will be temporarily closed to make way for the cortege of Probosutedjo's funeral. The half-brother of former President Soeharto passed away on Monday morning, March 26 at age 87. Probosutedjo was a businessman and founder of Mercu Buana University.
The roads to be closed are the t-junction Pedes, connecting route of Yogya-Wates or Yogya-Purworejo; t-junction connecting Sedayu Bantul and Godean Sleman; and along Jl. Argomulyo before the Soeharto museum complex until the Somenggalan cemetery which is the main point of the funeral procession.

“We will deploy 52 personnel to oversee the traffic,” Sedayu Police chief Comr. Sugiarta said today at the funeral home in Kemusuk Village, Bantul, Yogyakarta. Probosutedjo will be laid to rest in honor at Somenggalan Cemetery, Sedayu village, Bantul, Yogyakarta.
Sugiarta explained the temporary road closure was aimed at facilitating the funeral procession. Purportedly, scores of officials and former officials from the New Order era were slated to attend the funeral. “We've got information that former officials in the Soeharto era will come to the funeral of Probosutedjo.” Sugiarta said.
