Premium Fuel Consumption Declines, Consumers Switches to Dexlite

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Pertamina said that consumers had started switching to better-quality fuel oil, as reflected by the rise in the consumptions of Pertalite, Pertamax, and Dex series during Christmas 2017 and New Year 2018. Meanwhile, Premium consumption is declining.
"They are better for vehicle engines and the environment," said Pertamina spokesperson Adiatma Sardjito said in in a press release on Friday, January 5.
Premium consumption declined by 33 percent to 28,000 kiloliters when compared to last year. Meanwhile, the consumption of Pertalite and Pertamax increased by two digits.

The Pertalite consumption was recorded to reach 49,000 kiloliters, increasing by 50 percent when compared to the same period last year, which stood at 34,000 kiloliters.
Pertamax consumption was recorded at 17 thousand kiloliters, increasing by 21 percent compared to last year. In addition, the consumption of Pertamax Turbo rose by 53 percent to 790 kiloliters.
The consumptions of Dex Series also saw an increase. Pertamina Dex consumption grew 79 percent to 2,200 kiloliters, while Dexlite rose by 121 percent to 1,700 kiloliters.
