TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Energy and Mineral Resources Deputy Minister Arcandra Tahar stated that there is no miscommunication between the ministry and State-owned Energy Firm PT Pertamina regarding the shortage of 3-kg LPG in the past few daysHe claimed that bad weather causes problems in providing gas supply.

"It is not scarcity, it is a temporary shortage of supply," Arcandra said in Jakarta on Saturday (9/12).

Furthermore, Arcandra explained that this problem is being dealt with by Pertamina, as the company in charge of LPG distribution. "I hope this problem can be managed," he continued.

The same statement was conveyed by PT Pertamina. Pertamina denied the case of scarcity of 3-kg LPG in a number of areas. Pertamina Marketing Director Muchamad Iskandar claimed that what happened is a shortage of supply of the subsidized gas.
