TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Ministers Welcomed by Traditional Dance at First Daughter’s Wedding
State officials attending First Daughter Kahiyang Ayu and Bobby Afif Nasution’s wedding reception were welcomed by Tapanuli traditional dance Sigale-gale. The reception was held at Bukit Hijau Regency housing complex in Medan, North Sumatera, on Sunday, November 26.
Among the state officials were Coordinating Maritime Affairs Minister Luhut Bisnar Pandjaitan, Administrative and Bureaucratic Reform Minister Asman Abnur, and Education and Culture Minister Muhadjir Effendy. Attorney General H.M. Prasetyo and Military Commander Gen. Gatot Nurmantyo were also present.
In addition to Sigale-gale, the guests were also welcomed with West Sumatera’s Plate Dance and singing children wearing traditional clothes.
Muhadjir expressed his excitement with the welcoming ceremony.
“I’m very happy with these children. This occasion reflects Indonesian culture,” Muhadjir said while greeting the children.
Today’s reception concluded series of Kahiyang Ayu and Bobby Afif Nasution’s wedding ceremony in Medan. Earlier from November 19-25, Both of them underwent a number of customary processions.
