TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The Korea Tourism Organization Jakarta holds the Korea Festival Travel, Food and Hanbok at Lotte Shopping Avenue in Jakarta from September 21 to 24.

September is packed with schedules related to South Korean festivals that include the Music Bank concert featuring EXO, and Super Junior’s Eunhyuk and Donghae.

South Korean Ambassador to Indonesia Cho Tae-yong guaranteed that the festival would be interesting for Korean culture enthusiasts.

“Please come and enjoy,” Cho Tae-yong said when opening the event today, Sept. 21.

Cho Tae-yong views that South Korean pop culture is popular in Indonesia, and Indonesian tourist destinations, such as Bali, Lombok, and Ambon are popular among South Korean people.

“We are friends, and we are united,” he said.

The festival will feature School of Performing Arts Seoul and Indonesian singers such as Rizky Febian, Calvin Jeremy, Adera, and Wizzy Williana. The festival also features Hanbok fashion show and non-verbal performance from The Painters: Hero, who combines art and technology.

Visitors can also watch South Korean make-up demonstration, traditional percussion music performance by BUSAN National Academy of Korean Traditional Music, taekwondo performance, and K-Pop dance competition.
