TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The Jakarta Police said five of their officers were injured in the riot that broke out at the Jakarta Legal Aid Institute (LBH) building. The officers suffered injuries on their heads, hands, and faces after having hard objects like rocks thrown at them.
"Until now, the five officers are still being treated at the Police Hospital in Kramat Jati," Jakarta Police's spokesman Sr. Comm. Argo Yuwono said in Jakarta on Monday, Sept. 18.

The police have investigators questioned 15 people over their involvement in the riot. Twenty-two people in total were arrested during the riot.
The LBH building was attacked by anti-communist protesters today after midnight. The protesters threw rocks and stones at the building, breaking windows and doors.
Police and military officers evacuated 68 people from the building and situated them at the National Commission for Human Rights (Komnas HAM) office. The police managed to take control of the situation after protesters tried to break into the LBH building.
