Lawyer of Jonru Wary of His Client`s Social Media Activity

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Razman Arif Nasution, legal attorney for Jon Riah Ukur Ginting also known as Jonru recently urged his client to be more cautious in posting online contents and limit his activity in the realm of social media.

“I stressed to him to stop posting contents that contain multiple interpretations which can add the workload for his lawyers,” said Razman on Tuesday, September 5.

He fears that his client would receive more police reports if he continues to post controversial social media contents. The first police report against Jonru was made by a lawyer who is also an activist of NasDem party, Muannas Al Adid who accused Jonru of spreading hate speech.

As the case was followed-up by police on Monday, September 4, Jonru was once again reported to the police for similar accusations by yet another lawyer, Muhammad Zakir Rasyidin.

Razman publicly stated that he would back-off the case against Jonru if his client receives more police reports. He suggested his client to hire more lawyers to defend him and highly urged Jonru to follow his advice regarding social media usage.
