TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The Jakarta Police are short on investigators to probe the alleged spreading of hate speech by the Saracen online group.
At first, three investigators were assigned to the case. But the data that needs to be examined continues to pile up, the police said.
The National Police's spokesman Sr. Comm. Martinus Sitompul said on Tuesday that it is difficult to unveil the people linked to and involved with Saracen, but it is not impossible. Investigators will continue to track down the flow of funds and the new names of people suspected to be linked with the group.

The police have obtained some 93 Gigabytes of data to be verified. There are also digital footprints to track-down and linked with the 14 bank accounts taken as evidence.
The people's forum against misleading information (Masyarakat Anti Kesesatan Informasi/MAKI) hopes the police will continue to update their technology to stay ahead in the investigation on Saracen.
"It is very dangerous if the police cannot unveil this case," MAKI member Mandela said, arguing that the hate speech-inciting online posts spread by Saracen have been created disintegration among the people.
