TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) was scheduled to question 13 witnesses in relation to the graft case surrounding the electronic ID card (e-KTP) procurement project. The witnesses were expected to testify for the suspects, namely Setya Novanto and Markus Nari.
KPK spokesperson Febry Diansyah said six witnesses were to be questioned for Setya Novanto. Among them are former House member Taufiq Effendi, Democratic Party Faction staff Eva Ompita Soraya, and Directorate General of Demography and Civil Registry official Dian Hasanah. Three other witnesses are Hendra Purnama, Charles Sutanto Ekapradja, and William Shane Tan.
Febri added that there were seven witnesses to be questioned for Markus Nari. One of them is former Home Affairs Ministry secretary general Diah Anggraeni. The other witnesses are PT Quadra Solution director Anang Sugiana Sudihardjo, former PT Sucofindo director Arief Safari, Technology Assessment and Application Agency staff Husni Fahmi, State Printing Company employee Agus Eko Priadi, Fransina Fiona, and Setyo Dwi Suhartanto.
Earlier, Setya and Markus were named as a suspect in the e-KTP procurement project. Setya allegedly influenced lawmakers to approve the project budget amounting Rp5.9 trillion. Meanwhile, Markus allegedly asked Rp5 billion from former director general for demography and civil registry Irman. The money was said to be the fee for House members for approving the project.
