TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - President Joko Widodo alias Jokowi is slated to deliver annual speeches at the Parliament building ahead of the 72nd Indonesia’s Independence Day.
The annual session of the People’s Consultative Assembly (MPR) is started at 9 am and will end at 10:25, followed by a joint session between the MPR, the House of Representatives (DPR) and Regional Representatives Council (DPD) in order to celebrate Indonesia’s Independence Day.
Jokowi will deliver his second speech from 11:10 am to 11:45 am.
After the joint session, the president and invitees will be taking a break before the holding of the DPR plenary session at 2 pm, marking the opening of the first hearing period for the 2017-2018 term.
At the plenary, Jokowi will give an introductory speech on the Financial Note (Nota Keuangan) in relation to the 2018 draft state budget bill.
