Police Hunt Down Persib Fan Ganging Up On Ricko Andrean

Ricko Andrean, Persib Bandung supporters (bobotoh) who fell victim to ganging up by other bobotoh, died Thursday, July 27, 2017.

TEMPO.CO, Bandung - Bandung Police will investigate the death of Ricko Andrean (22) falling victim to ganging up by Persib Bandung club supporters (Bobotoh).

The incident took place during a match between Persib Bandung club and Persija Jakarta club.

Ricko lost his life on Thursday after 4 days under a critical condition in the hospital. "After the funeral, we will quickly move to identify the perpetrators of the attack," Hendro said on Thursday, July 27.

The incident took place during the half-time break of the match. Hendro mentioned, based on the statements from the witnesses, Ricko was ganged up when he tried to help to break up a fight involving his friend who was being ganged up by Persib Bandung supporters. It was alleged that there was a misunderstanding in which Ricko was accused as a supporter of the opposing club infiltrating Bobotoh.

"Ricko did not wear any Bobotoh identity gear and ended up becoming a victim of the attack," he added.
