According to him, Singapore would provide assistance in the form of human resource training, including in the management of peatlands in the province.

As districts of Musi Banyuasin and Ogan Komering Ilir have a lot of peatlands, the two district heads were invited by the provinces governor to attend the meeting with the Minister of Environment and Water Resources of Singapore.

Zulkipli added that the assistance would be a long-term support to prevent forest and land fires in the areas.

In addition to peatlands restoration, his party also invited Singapore to invest in the region.
