TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - President Joko Widodo alias Jokowi meets people in Penjaringan sub-district, North Jakarta, to hand out staple foods as part of the State-Owned Enterprise (SOE) Ministry program this morning.
Jokowi arrived at 9 pm and witnessed the distribution of 3,000 out of 200,000 staple food packages for residents of Greater Jakarta, known as Jabodetabek, during Ramadan.

Staple food distribution is also being carried out in 99 locations in Jabodetabek (Greater Jakarta area).
Also attended the event besides Jokowi was SOE Minister Rini Soemarno, Social Affairs Minister Khowfifah Indarparawansa, state-owned lender BRI director Suprajarto and state-owned electricity company PLN president director Sofyan Basir.
Each staple food package contains 5 kg rice, 1 liter cooking oil, 1 kg sugar, 600 ml soy sauce, a box full of instant noodles, 1 bottle of syrup, biscuits and margarine.
State-owned enterprises are taking part in the staple foods distribution in Jabodetabek, namely PLN, Bank BRI, Bank BNI, Bank Mandiri, Bank BTN, Pertamina, Telkom Indonesia, Wika, Waskita, PP, Jasa Marga, IPC/Pelindo II, Angkasa Pura II and PGN.
