TEMPO.CO, Denpasar - I Gusti Ngurah Rai International Airport in Bali will add 369 extra flights to meet transportation needs for Eid this year. The request was proposed by six national airlines.
"The number of extra flights soars 129 percent compared to the previous year," PT Angkasa Pura I's communications and legal division head Arie Ahsanurrohim said in Denpasar, Bali on Friday, June 9.

He went on by saying that the airport management accepted the proposal of additional flights on 8 June 2017. 369 flights with the total capacity of 66.366 seats were proposed by Citilink, Garuda Indonesia, NAM Air, Sriwijaya, Wings, and Lion Air. He added that the capacity of the seats went up 111 percent compared to last year.
Lion Air proposed the highest number of extra flights with 105 flights. He explained that the destinations of the extra flights are Cengkareng Jakarta and Surabaya. The extra flights will be available from 15 days before Eid Day or July 10.
