Semarang Cartoonist Community Holds Traffic Drawing Competition

TEMPO.CO, Semarang - The Semarang Cartoon Club (SECAC) will hold an international cartoon drawing competition with the theme "Transportation" and sub-theme "Traffic Ethics".

The Board Commission of the competition, Jitet Koestana, said that the event is aimed to invite the public to participate actively in the process of transformation and acceleration of the transportation field. "So that Indonesia becomes a country which act orderly in traffic," said former cartoonist of Kompas media on Sunday, January 1st 2017.

The holder of the Indonesian Record Museum's (Muri) record as the cartoonist who received the most international award stated that the event will kick-off at January 5, 2017.

Participants of this competition obligated to send five of their artworks to amcartooncontest@gmail.com started January 5, 2017. The delivery conditions are: minimal 1 MB in size, JPG format with a resolution of 200-300 dpi. The colour of the artwork is obligated in RGB mode. The result of the competition will be announced on April 25, 2017 through all kind of medias.

This event is sponsored by PT Astra Motor International. The prize are: Rp15 million and a certificate for first winner, Rp9 million and a certificate for the second winner, and Rp6 million and a certificate for the third winner. "Five citation winners will get Rp3 million each, with an income tax of 15 percent," said Jitet.
