Police Prepare for Indonesian Contingents Arrival from Rio

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The Metro Jaya Police plans to apply an open-close traffic system in the area of Soekarno-Hatta International Airport Tangerang during the arrival of Indonesian contingents competing in the Rio de Janeiro 2016 Olympics.

"The athletes' motorcade will arrive at Soekarno-Hatta Airport and head towards the Youth and Sports Ministry," Metro Jaya Police Public Relations Chief Sr. Comr. Awi Setiyono said in Jakarta on Tuesday, August 22, 2016.

Awi said that the athletes are scheduled to arrive at the Soekarno-Hatta International Airport on 4:00 PM Western Indonesia Time on Tuesday, August 23, 2016.

Meanwhile, Youth and Sports Minister Imam Nahrawi is scheduled to welcome the athletes and take them to the Youth and Sports Ministry's office at Senayan, Jakarta.

The athletes' and minister's motorcade is planned to travel from Soekarno-Hatta International Airport to the Youth and Sports Minister office through the Soedyatmo toll road, Semanggi area, Jalan Gerbang Pemuda, Jalan Asia Afrika, Jalan Jendral Sudirman and Jalan MH Thamrin
