MacBook Pro with Major Overhaul Expected to Roll Out This Year

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Apple MacBook Pro is expected to get a major revamp by the end of this year.  One of its changes is a thinner and lighter design.

The MacBook Pro design has existed since 2012.  The new design is able to draw new attention from the new MacBook, which will feature new metal hinges.

Another change is rumored to be an addition of OLED panel, which will replace the row of function keys above the keyboard.  This change will display different functions and will change according to application.

Its TouchID sensor is also expected to be available on the new MacBook.  A rumor emerged saying Apple would use the sensor on the iPhone to unlock MacBook.

Lastly, a USB Type-C connector and the Thunderbolt will be upgraded to Thunderbolt 3.

MacBook Pro reportedly will be launched in two variants, a 13-inch and 15-inch, said GSM Arena.
