TEMPO.CO, Jakarta-Jakarta Metro Police have uncovered an illegal online football gambling and arrested suspect Cahyadi Salim alias Asiong, 25, in Serpong, South Tangerang, Banten.
“From October 2015 to May 2015 suspect run an online football gambling at user level,” Eko Hadi Santoso, Head of Mobile Investigation Sub-Directorate of Jakarta Metro Police, said on Tuesday, May 10, 2016.
Eko said the Mobile Investigation Sub-Directorate Operation team of Jakarta Metro Police lead by Adj. Comr. Resa Fiardi Marasabessy had arrested Asiong in Green Cove Residential Complex Serpong on Monday, May 9.
Asiong is accused of being involved in online gambling through ‘www.ibc.com’ and ‘www.sbobet.com’ websites by cellphones.
Cahyadi also used two bank accounts under his name and two others, LL and JL, for betting transactions with the bookie.
Police has confiscated three BCA token keys, two cell phones and two BCA ATM cards.
Cahyadi is charged with violating Article 303 paragraph (1) to 3 letter e of the Criminal Code, Article 303 paragraph (1) of the Criminal Code on Gambling or Article 5 paragraph (1) in conjunction of Article 2 paragraph (1) letter t and z of Law No. 8/2010 on Prevention and Eradication of Money Laundering.
