TEMPO.CO, Jakarta-The International Consortium of Investigative Journalists (ICIJ) has released leaked documents from Panamanian law firm, Mossack Fonseca, which became the source of the Panama Papers scandal. ICIJ opened access to the documents at 01:00 Western Indonesian Time at www.offshoreleaks.icij.org.

This remarks the first time the data is available for public. Now everyone can access the leaked data containing names of companies or individuals allegedly involved in tax fraud via offshore companies.

There are over 200 countries involved in the Panama Papers scandal. ICIJ has released data of 320,000 offshore companes, some of which are fake and made to help the owner avoid taxes in his homeland.

When the set of data leaked on April, Panama Papers has caused a stir among world's top leader. Iceland's Prime Minister has resigned following, and British Prime Minister David Cameron has been busy denying allegations against him.

As in Indonesia, there are several top names included in the list, such as Head of the Financial Audit Board, Harry Azhar Aziz, Chief Security Minister, Luhut Binsar Panjaitan, and Jakarta Gubernatorial Candidate, Sandiaga Uno.

President Joko Widodo or Jokowi has specifically asked his administration to come up with a task force to investigate the scandal.
