TEMPO.CO, Bandung - Bandung Mayor Ridwan Kamil said that the light railway transit (LRT) development that would connect the city and high-speed train station in Tegalluar, Bandung Regency, would be financed by the State Budget.
"The presidential regulation is being prepared. We previously expected that the regulation would require the high-speed train consortium to run the project. But President Joko "Jokowi" Widodo gave a bonus," Ridwan sid at the Bandung City Hall on Friday, April 15, 2016.
Ridwan added that the LRT development project connecting the city with the high-speed train station was a priority among LRT projects in Bandung that would connect four other regencies, namely Cimahi, Bandung Regency, West Bandung Regency and Sumedang Regency.
According to Ridwan, the cost for the inner-city LRT project is Rp 10 trillion (US$735.3 million) for 11 kilometers.
"At least [it needs] Rp 30 trillion (US$2.2 billion) for all Great Bandung areas," Ridwan added.
