TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The Prosperity and Justice Party (PKS) provided an explanation on the dismissal of Fahri Hamzah, one of the party's cadres, on its official website pks.or.id. "Please read the chronological timeline of the case, we had just uploaded it a few hours ago," PKS Chairman Sohibul Iman said to Tempo through text message on Monday, April 4, 2016.
In the website, PKS explained that Fahri has committed disciplinary violations towards the party's internal policy, specifically on issues related to conveying public information.
The article containing the explanation includes several controversial, counter-productive and improper statements previously made by Fahri. One of the statements Fahri made was 'rada-rada bloon' (a little bit stupid), which was aimed at members of the House of Representatives (DPR).
As a result, several DPR members decided to take steps by making a report related to the statement to the DPR Ethics Council. The Ethics Council later declared that Fahri had committed a mild violation by conveying the statement.
Another controversial statements made by Fahri were when he declared that the DPR had agreed to dismiss he Corruption Eradication Commission.
