TEMPO.CO, Jakarta-The Provincial Government of Jakarta on Thursday, March 10, inaugurated the Child Friendly Integrated Public Space (RPTRA) of South Kembangan in West Jakarta. The administration is hoping that the public will help maintain the park and its facilities.
"We hope that the RPTRA, along with all of its existing facilities, will be well cared for and always kept clean, so it can be used for a long time," Jakarta Governor Basuki Tjahaja Purnama, also known as Ahok, said as he opened the park.
According to Ahok, residents can use the space to mingle and interact as to nurture a sense of caring among fellow Jakartans.
He expects the role of sub-district heads, village heads, and community heads to pay attention to their neighborhoods. That way, everyone can participate in finding solutions to problems faced by residents.
The RPTRA of South Kembangan is built on 2,304 square meters land. It has a number of public facilities including a public hall that can be used for many purposes, a library, an indoor soccer field, children's playground, a nutrition pool, a planting field, a lactating room, a PKK Mart, as well as plot to grow medicinal herbs and plants.
