TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Indonesian culinary directory Qraved lists ten foods that are most-hunted by one million of its active users along the year 2015.
Sitting on the top of the list is fried rice (nasi goreng), which is no surprise since Indonesians love rice.
Fried chicken is on the second position followed by bakso on the thirds place, and pizza and burger on the fourth and fifth place. Japanese legendary dish sushi is on the sixth place followed by gado-gado on the seventh. Rendang, kebab and ramen are each on the eighth, ninth and tenth place.
“A conclusion can be drawn that Indonesians still prefer local foods when dining out. The thriving restaurants offering foreign dishes does not mean people will eat international foods,” Qraved stated in its press release.
Among western foods, Qraved’s survey shows that pizza, burger, sandwich, pasta and salad are the most sought by diners. In Asia category, Japanese foods such as sushi, ramen and shabu-shabu are dominant.
Qraved also sums up types of restaurant most-favorited by diners. The list shows that Indonesian restaurant is still the top choice followed by Chinese and Japanese restaurants.
