TEMPO.CO, Jakarta-PT Kereta Api Indonesia Commuter Jabodetabek (KCJ) has planned to increase the number of train schedules on December 31, 2015. PT KCJ spokesperson Eva Chairunisa said on Friday, December 25, 2015 that her company would add 26 new schedules during the New Year’s Eve.
“On the New Year’s Eve, the Commuter Line will operate 24 hours,” Eva said at the Jakarta Kota Station.
However, Eva said that she could not reveal the details of the new schedules yet. Eva said that the KCJ would add more schedules compared to last year. In the 2015, KCJ added 16 new schedules.
“We’re still arranging [the schedules],” she added.
Currently, KCJ operates 74 Commuter Line trains serving 887 trips in Jakarta, Bogor, Depok, Tangerang and Bekasi. With 26 new schedules, KCJ will serve a total of 913 trips on the New Year’s Eve.
