TEMPO.CO, Jakarta-Jakarta Governor Basuki Tjahaja Purnama said that he has a serious homework to improve football in Jakarta. Ahok has previously expressed his rage over the Jakmania, supporters of Persija Jakarta, who unleashed havoc during the President Cup final.
Nevertheless, Ahok said that he still supports Persija. "We need to support Persija. We need to improve the club," said Ahok.
As for the Jakmania, Ahok suggested that the daredevil supporters should thrive for achievements, not blood. "Let’s not make blood over football," said Ahok.
As for the President Cup, Ahok said that he feels ashamed for not having Persija in the final. "We play the finals in Jakarta, but the opposing sides were Persib and Sriwijaya," he said.
