TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Minister of Youth Affairs and Sports Imam Nahrawi said the government welcomed the planned arrival of the World Football Federation FIFA delegation to mediate PSSI and the ministry.
“That’s good (the arrival of a FIFA delegation). That was what we requested, yes we will provide input on conditions in the country and we guarantee government support," he said in Meulaboh, West Aceh District, Aceh Province, on Sunday, September 27.
Minister Nahrawi asserted, when the FIFA delegation arrive he will explain everything, but he expected the delegation to form an investigation team with any desired committee to act as mediator.
"I expect them to form an investigative team, then a mediation committee will be formed. The issue between PSSI and the ministry will not be long. Be patient," he said.
FIFA and AFC delegation plan to visit Indonesia with the main agenda to discuss FIFA sanctions and the process of lifting the sanctions. Because of these sanctions, the Indonesian national team could not get participate on international games.
