TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Istiqlal Mosque Chief Executive Officer Mubarok, said Thursday, September 24, that there will be no distribution of meat of after sacrifices at the mosque. He said, the decision was taken because meat distributions in previous year have always been chaotic.
"Learning from previous years, this year there will be no distribution of meat in Istiqlal," said Mubarok, at the Istiqlal Mosque on Thursday.
Instead, Mubarok said the meat will be delivered directly to rightful communities (mustahiq) or those eligible. Dozens of community and 10 thousand mustahiqs are listed as recipients of the sacrificial meat.
“This year instead of them coming here, we approach them," he said. “We avoid chaos and those communities divide among them.”
Mubarok hope the sacrificial meat distributions to dozens of communities will not create disputes. He also appealed to mustahiqs to be patient and not during the distribution of sacrificial meat.
