Jokowi to Celebrate Eid at Martapura`s Al-Karomah Grand Mosque

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) and First Lady Iriana Widodo will participate in Eid al-Adha prayer at Al-Karomah Grand Mosque on Thursday in Martapura, South Kalimantan.  Jokowoi is also scheduled to visit the development project of Kebun Raya Banjar in Banjarbaru.  The president will visit Banjar during his series of visits which starts today.

“This time, President Jokowi and Mrs. Iriana will celebrate Eid al-Adha 1436 H with the people of South Kalimantan,” President Communications Team Sukardi Rinakit said in Jakarta.  The president will also be sacrificing an animal in the mosque.

After Banjar, the president will be off to North Sumatra to visit the refugee relocation site of Mt. Sinabung and forest fire in Pekanbaru. Jokowi is scheduled to return to Jakarta on Friday.

Today, the president is on his way to Banjarmasin to visit several hotspot locations.  He will attend a takbiran event at Sabilal Muhtadin Mosque in Banjarmasin in the evening.
