SMESCO Festival 2015 Aims Rp 21 Billion in Profit

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Deputy Marketing and Business Network Division of Cooperative and Small-Medium Businesses Ministry Emilia Suhaimi targets a 5 percent increase in transaction in this year’s SMESCO Festival.  

Emilia told a media conference Monday, September 22, that the ministry target this year’s festival to rake a whopping Rp 21 billion in profit, or 5 percent higher than last year.

Emilia believes the donation could be reached as the number of visitors is a lot more than the previous years. “We estimated there will be 21,000 visitors in the event,” she said.

Emilia say this year’s SMESCO Festival will be different from before as it has been updated and improved in quality.

This year, SMESCO Festival will also be participated by a number of foreign entrepreneurs. There will be a total of 650 booths, where 10 among them will come from outside of ASEAN country, said Emilia.

The festival will be held from October 1-4 2015 in the Jakarta Convention Center. “Last year we held the festival at SMESCO building, but due to the increased participants this year, we decided to hold the event in Jakarta Convention Center,” she said.
