TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - President Joko Widodo is scheduled to wage another blusukan (direct inspection visit) in West Jakarta. However, he will not be accompanied by Jakarta governor Basuki “Ahok” Tjahaja Purnama.
"Jokowi is both (former) governor and president. He, alone, would suffice," said Ahok on Tuesday September 1.
He added that during Jokowi’s term as governor, Ahok was never on the road with him for blusukan. "We keep it effective, only one of us went for blusukan," he said.
Jokowi has been visiting some places in Jakarta, with his latest visit being on Saturday when he went to Jakarta Pusat. Upon his visit, Jokowi was escorted by Central Jakarta Mayor, Mangara Pardede.
