MPR Speaker Calls on Jokowi to Work Hard to Save Indonesia

TEMPO.CO, Semarang - Speaker of the People’s Consultative Assembly (MPR) Zulkifli Hasan called on President Joko ‘Jokowi’ Widodo and Vice President Jusuf Kalla to work hard to save the country following the worsening condition of the country’s economy.
"Jokowi-JK administration must collect all the strengths to get united,” Zulkifli said in Semarang on Saturday (29/8).
For the record, the weakening of Rupiah against US Dollar continued in the past few weeks. At the trade closing on Friday, Rupiah was traded at Rp13,983 per US Dollar.
Zulkifli went on to say that the world economy and Indonesia’s economy that continued to slow down has made world leaders not to be separated in segregation.
"It’s no longer relevant to talk about political parties. There’s no the Great Indonesian Coalition or the White and Red Coalition,” he added.
Former Forestry Minister also urged all elements of the nation to save the country be being united.
