Trade Minister Signs Integrity Pact

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Trade Minister Thomas Lembong has signed an integrity pact called Integrated Corruption Prevention Commitment to affirm the Trade Ministry’s commitment in prevention corruption.

“The signing of this pact is a true commitment from the Trade Ministry as a strategic partner of the Corruption Eradication Commission in Preventing Corruption. This also serves as implementation of National Integration System (SIN),” said Thomas on Thursday, August 27.

Thomas explained that the agreed commitments from the signing are the Trade Ministry will implement gratification control and reinforce policy or circular related to wealth report (LHKPN) that have been issued. The ministry will also manage state property in accordance with the regulation.

Thomas said the commitments must be placed in the framework of SIN implementation as part of corruption prevention efforts. The Trade Ministry has also implemented some corruption prevention policies, such as forming gratification control team, drafting code of ethics, anti-corruption campaign, building whistle blowing system and good administration assessment.

“These corruption prevention commitments must keep promoting quality improvement in corruption prevention efforts,” said Thomas.

After signing the commitments, the Trade Ministry will issue Trade Minister decree about gratification control in the Trade Ministry that wll be supported by the KPK.
