Royal Enfield Mulls Tapping Indonesian Market

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - UK-based motorbike producer Royal Enfield is mulling to invest in Indonesia; attracted by its huge market.
"Indonesia is the largest market in Southeast Asia and the third in the world," Royal Enfield's head of international business Arun Gopal said when attending the Indonesian Convention Exhibition in Tangerang, Banten, yesterday.
The motorcycle maker that produces in India launched three models at the Gaikindo Indonesia International Auto Show 2015. Arun said that in the near future there will be official an outlet in Pejaten, Kemang that sells the bikes.
If the Indonesian market responds positively to the medium-classic motorcycles, Royal Anfield will be open dealerships in Bali, Bandung and Yogyakarta.
Arun said Royal Anfield has conducted researches in Indonesia. If things are proven feasible, the company will invest in a completely knock-down.
