TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Several flights from and to Hang Nadim International Airport in Batam was canceled on Monday, August 24, 2015, as the number of passenger drops.
"The past few days have been a low season. With operational reasons, several airlines have canceled their flights," Head of General Affairs of at the Airport Surwarso, said on Monday, August 24, 2015.
According to flight schedules displayed at the Airport, two flights from Medan, operated by Citilink, have been canceled. Lion Air had also canceled its flight from Kualanamu Airport to Batam.
Other Lion Air flights from Bengkulu heading for Batam had also been canceled along with another flight from Batam to Semarang.
Airport official confirmed that the condition may last for the next few days.
