Daihatsu Introduces Two Concept Cars in GIIAS

    TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - PT Astra Daihatsu Motor (ADM) will introduce two of its concept cars at the Gaikindo Indonesia International Auto Show (GIIAS) held at the Indonesia Convention Exhibition (ICE) in BSD City, South Tangerang.  PT ADM CEO Sudriman M.R. mentioned that the concept cars that will be exhibited in the event are the Daihatsu FT SUV and Daihatsu FX crossover.

    Both cars design are said to focus on Indonesi's consumer character. "We always create a concept for Indonesia, just fit for Indonesia. Besides looking at the interest of domestic market, we are also looking for a chance to export," Sudirman said during the GIIAS on Thursday, August 20, 2015.

    Sudirman is uncertain when the Daihatsu FT and FX will be mass produced because the company will conduct a 3-month development studies including a market survey before they can sell the car to the public. The study will be aimed at measuring public interest towards the product.

    "If it turns out that the market is huge and mass production is possible, then there will be further development," said Sudirman.
