TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Finance Minister Bambang Brodjonegoro hopes that Indonesia will become a developed country soon, as stated during his address as the inspector of the 70th Indonesia’s Independence Day ceremony at the Coordinating Economy Ministry.

“People of Indonesia must become prosperous” he said on Monday, adding that Indonesia’s economy will hopefully improve and become stable.

Bambang said one of the ways to achieve those is by reforming fiscal, which has been included in the 2016 state budget draft. “One of the plans we have is building six million houses for the poor,” he said.

The ceremony in the Finance Ministry was attended by echelon officials and employees of the Finance Ministry.
