TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Trigana ATR flight IL 267 were reported missing contact allegedly located in the Mount Tangok, Okbape District, Bintang Mountains District on Sunday, August 16.
Jayapura Air Field Commander, Col. (Pilot) I Made Susila Adyana, told Antara Newsagency on Sunday evening, explaining that the current team led by the Deputy Chief of Police Bintang Mountains are heading to the site to ascertain the location of the missing Trigana IL 267.
"Residents of Kampung Tiga, Okbape District, reported seeing a plane crash, and now the team has moved to be sure," said Adyana.
It takes approximately five hours drive to reach the area of Mount Tangok, the team is expected to arrive on location around 11 pm local time.
If the report is true citizens, added Adyana, then piloted aircraft carrying 49 passengers Hasanuddin allegedly about to land at the airport in accordance Oksibil purpose.
Earlier it was reported that a Trigana Air twin-turboprop aircraft carrying 54 people had lost contact with air traffic control on Sunday afternoon.
The plane was flying between Jayapura's Sentani Airport and Oksibil, due south of Jayapura, the capital of Papua province.
