Minister Notes Growth in Non-Oil and Gas Sector

Mesin Tua, Industri Manufaktur Tak Efisien

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The Industrial Ministry recorded that growth for the non-oil and gas manufacturing industry in the second quarter of 2015 had reached 5.27 percent.

"Industrial growth achievement in the second quarter of 2015 was 5.27 percent and this means [the figure] increases from the 5.21 percent in the first quarter," said Industrial Minister Saleh Husin after a House of Representatives plenary meeting on Friday, August 14, 2015.

The growth rate is considerably higher even compared to the 4.67 percent economic growth rate recorded in the second quarter of 2015.

Minister Saleh added that the total investment value recorded in Q2 of 2015 had reached US$5.07 billion, or 14.5 percent higher compared to the US$ 4.43 billion recorded in the same period in 2014.
