In a bid to ensure the target achievement, the government is currently focusing on speeding up the land acquisition process.
"We will not change the target. In fact we will carefully review options that we have. People expect the Trans-Java toll road project to be operational as the [Public Works and Public Housing] Minister promised," Danis Hidayat Sumadilaga, an expert staff of development integration at the Public Works and Public Housing Ministry, told Bisnis.com on Wednesday, August 5, 2015.
Danis added that the progress of land acquisition for Pelamang-Batang toll road project was still under 10 percent, while that for Batang-Semarang toll road project was above 10 percent.
"We have assigned echelon I officials to help with communications with governor and local officials to accommodate the land acquisition proess," he added.
Danis revealed that the Ministry has set a target to complete the land acquisition process by mid-2017. The project construction would be conducted gradually without awaiting for the whole land acquisitions to be completed.
