TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - PT Pertamina President Director Dwi Soetjipto said that he will wait for an evaluation on the plan to add new type of fuel, Pertalite. The evaluation will be conducted in the next two months. "[Pertalite] was just launched recently, so we're waiting for response from people," said Dwi on Monday, July 26, 2015.
According to Dwi, the market's response towards Pertalite has been quite good. If the positive trend continues, Pertamina will add more Pertalite supply.
The addition of Pertalite will indirectly add more gas stations. "However, supply of Premium will not be reduced," said Dwi.
Last week, Pertamina introduced Pertalite to the public in 103 gas stations in three big cities: Jakarta, Bandung, and Surabaya at a price of Rp 8,400.
Several gas stations reported that public demand for Pertalite was high. In Surabaya, Pertalite sales in the second day increased by 69 percent from the first day.
