TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - PT Pertamina (Persero) is set to launch new product of fuel (octane 90) named Pertalite on Friday, July 24. Before its launching, public transportation operators said that they do expect to purchase Pertalite.
Speaking to Tempo, Head of Land Transportation Organization (Organda) of Jakarta, Shafruhan Sinungan, said that Tax operator will likely use Pertalite. He said that Pertalite can be a solution for taxi operational cost, now notably using Pertamax (RON 92).
Shafruhan said that taxi operator opts to use Pertamax as they cannot risk damaging engine by using Premium. "As a result, some tricked it by mixing Pertamax Plus and Premium," he said.
Pertamina is set to launch Pertalite in 103 gas stations in Jakarta, Bandung, and Surabaya. Pertamina will distribute 8,000 liters of Pertalite for each gas station, including those in toll road reast area.
