TEMPO.CO, Makassar - Chief of Police, General Badrodin Haiti, claimed that the police continue investigating the assault in Gowa that killed Brigadier Irvanudin from Gowa Police and First Private Aspin from the army earlier this month. Badrodin said that the police are awaiting direct report from police-army joint investigation team.
"The case is being handled by joint investigation team. We are waiting for the result," said Badrodin in Makassar, on Sunday, July 19.
Previously, rumor has it that a suspect turned himself in on Thursday July 16. However, there has not been more information on the matter, amid the gravity of the case.
South and West Police Chief Inspector General Anton Setiadji said that the police have had Closed Circuit Television (CCTV) records that shows Aspin’s killing, in which the perpetrators were seen wearing masks. He added that the footage has been sent to Jakarta for further processing.
