TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Pertamina CEO Dwi Soetjipto said Pertalite fuel is presented to provide more choices for the public.
“I want to confirm that this is to provide more options for society according to the aspects of their vehicles,” Dwi said at the East Parking area of Senayan on Tuesday.
If there are consumers unsuitable with Pertamax, there will be an option to switch to Pertalite.
Dwi added that Pertalite market test will begin in July 24. The new fuel variant will be available at 103 gas stations in the area of Jakarta and Surabaya.
Pertalite has an octane above Premium but below Pertamax. Premium fuel has an octane of 88, while Pertamax has 92 and Pertamax Plus with 95.
The higher the octane level, the better the combustion process, making the vehicle engine cleaner.
